Dawn has considerable experience of teaching glass fusing workshops in both a college and an art room setting and people enjoy her classes – see feedback page. We can now offer glass workshops from the studio in Ilkeston, Derbyshire.
Whether you want an introduction to glass fusing, or to improve or explore a particular technique, Dawn can tailor a workshop to your needs. Usually run over one day, you can also break your workshop down in to two half days if this suits you better, or even three evenings.
The price for a single day workshop is £60 per person including basic materials and a minimum of 3 people are required to run – or if you would like to have a one-to-one session, it’s £130, or come along as a pair and the price for the “Just for Two of You” day is £160 between you. This includes access to all the tools and equipment you will require, firing of your glass for collection at a later date, and a selection of Dawn’s vast array of glass!
The latest available dates are listed on the blog (CLICK HERE) although One-to-One & Just For Two of You sessions are arranged mutually. For the group workshops, dates are penciled in, which will go ahead pending enough bookings – however if you can get together with two or more friends or family, we will also run a group session on a date of your choice
If you’d like to know more, or to be put on the mailing list for the next available dates, you can contact Dawn via the Get in Touch page
You can now purchase workshop vouchers. These are perfect if you’d like to pay for a class but are not sure of the date yet (expiry dates of gift vouchers are one year, so even if you buy it now and don’t take your class for a while, it will be at current prices, even when costs go up)
Alternatively, if you’d like to gift a workshop as a present for friend or loved on, why not get them a voucher so that they can book a date at their own convenience?. You can BUY A VOUCHER here
As well as teaching warm glass techniques, Dawn can demonstrate and lead workshops on a variety of craft projects, both full days and short sessions. Recent workshops have included decorating window hangings with younger children, lantern making, printing techniques and more. Using her University experience an ‘Adaptive Design’ process, Dawn can encourage and facilitate groups towards developing a piece of work or project themselves, generating ideas, problem solving and giving guidance on methods and techniques.
Please get in touch to discuss your workshop ideas.
