Dawn has considerable experience of teaching glass fusing workshops in both a college and an art room setting and people enjoy her classes. See the FEEDBACK page. We can now offer glass workshops from the studio in Ilkeston, Derbyshire.
Whether you want an introduction to glass fusing or to improve or explore a particular technique, Dawn can tailor a workshop to your needs. Usually run over one day, you can also break your workshop down in to two half days if this suits you better, or even three evenings.
The price for a single day workshop is £65 per person including basic materials. We require a minimum of 3 people to run. If you would like to have a one-to-one session, it’s £130. OR you come along as a pair. The price for the “Just for Two of You” day is £160 between you. All sessions include access to all the tools and equipment you will require, firing of your glass for collection at a later date, and a selection of Dawn’s vast array of glass!
We also offer taster sessions – usually in a Pick & Mix format – which means you get to select what you make from a variety of pre-cut base shapes, and enjoy the fun, creative part of decorating them with colourful accessory glass. People find the tasters really relaxing and absorbing. They are a great way to acquaint yourself with the world of glass fusing without committing to a full day workshop. Also really great for people perhaps with dexterity issues as you won’t need to cut glass.
We list the latest dates on the blog when they are available – check back for updates and a link will be here. One-to-One & Just For Two of You sessions are arranged mutually. Group workshops, dates are pencilled in and will go ahead pending enough bookings. However if you can get together with two or more friends or family, we will also run a group session on a date of your choice
If you’d like to know more, or to be put on the mailing list for the next available dates, you can contact Dawn via the Get in Touch page
You can now purchase workshop vouchers. These are perfect if you’d like to pay for a class but are not sure of the date yet. Expiry dates of gift vouchers are one year; even if you buy it now and don’t take your class for a while, there’s plenty of time.
Alternatively, you might like to give a workshop as a present for friend or loved one. Why not get them a voucher so that they can book a date at their own convenience? You can BUY A VOUCHER here

COMMUNITY GROUPS
As well as teaching warm glass techniques, Dawn can demonstrate and lead workshops; a variety of craft projects, both full days and short sessions can be offered. Recent workshops have included decorating window hangings with younger children, lantern making, printing techniques and more. Dawn can use her university experience of the ‘adaptive design’ process; we can use this to encourage and facilitate groups towards developing a piece of work or project themselves; generating ideas, problem solving and giving guidance on methods and techniques.
Please get in touch to discuss your workshop ideas.
